Below lines (doha) from Saint Kabir can unanimously be voted as best lines told by him in his life time.
Kal kare so aaj kar, aaj kare so aab,
Pal mein parilaye hoyegi, bahuri karega kab
I read this line first in my seventh class. And it changed the course of my life entirely. And I made this lines to live (imbibed is the right word). For those who don't understand above lines, translation goes as:-
Do the thing which today itself which you want to do tomorrow. Next moment itself is full of uncertainty (apocalypse may come next moment) then why to put thing to future.
And now I blame Saint Kabir entirely for spoiling my life. I never studied properly and was never serious toward studies as I always felt Kabir was right. He only said next moment is full of uncertainty then how I am planning to put thing on tomorrow? And so I never studied, because what’s the use of working so hard to finish the work when next moment will put the thing back to square one (or probably into ground zero) and most sadly it never happened. Not till the moment I am writing this post. :'(
If it could have happened long back I wouldn't have had to study this much and nor would have worked for higher studies too. Seems this concept of uncertainty is more like cricket which is called as game full of uncertainty, but this uncertainty never worked for Indian side and nor me, and hence I was never serious toward life. ;-)
