Sitting on other side of Table - 100th Post

I am returning on this page after a gap of almost 3-4 months.Think I was never away for so long. And possibly the reason was resistance at 100th post, was thinking to write something special here but thought I can never do that so lets move and write some BS like I write always. Guess this is how the Sensex or share prices moves up and down, and stay at some point for longer duration - they have some resistance at some point but later they cross it without any good reason. Yeah I had a look at this terminology couple of days back.

Fortunately or unfortunately have completed my 4 years in HP last month on 7th Aug. Had never thought that I will last this long though my friends had no doubt about it owning to my lazy attitude. But I guess my working location kept on changing in all these 4 years which was the important factor for keeping me in same company and that too the one which I joined as a campus recruit. First Chennai, then Bangalore then Brussels and now back to Bangalore. Contemplating on different city option now, living in same city for longer duration makes me unhappy.

Last week I was offered to take interview for new applicants who have same level of experience or even more. And my first reaction was, what? I haven't given or taken a single interview post my campus interview what do you expect from me? But it was insisted so later accepted it and went for the interview. While accepting it I remembered the dialog which I gave almost 5 year back during my campus interview for the question - 'Where do you see yourself after 5 year from now'. For which I answered - 'Possibly on other side of the table' and we all had a good laugh. Little did I knew at that time that, it can turn into reality and I would be sitting on other side of the table exactly 5 year from then.

Anyways, as I never interviewed anyone before nor had any experience of job interview in my entire tenure of 4 years I was little bit scared. Yeah, interviewer is scared to take the interview. And had to do a little bit of preparation over the questions and some real time scenario over which I can ask question. Rest are company internal details so can't be divulge but all in all, its fun being there and a good experience in itself. And you may get a sudden realization that you have to work on your skills. :-)

P.P.S :  I never thought that I will be able to last this long or would reach 100th post. But I did. So much of underestimation probably.

God

I'm back - this is what T-800 Model 101 of terminator would have had told at this moment. And with what, true machine sense and doubtful on every subject which comes around. Rather than giving more of BS I will come straight on the point. I think I need a change in my blog design. This design doesn't have new post link, which is possibly stopping me from writing a new post (or say  BS).

I have started watching Mahabharata TV serial recently, to complete it end-to-end for all the episodes which I missed due to electricity outage during childhood. Its indeed an epic saga and I suggest everyone should watch it, in fact watching it now was making more sense to me and definitely in nonsense way. I am planning to come with my own version of Mahabharata pretty soon, with each episode and action analyzed from different angle.

Coming on the topic God - if someone mention about Mahabharata then not mentioning about lord Krishna would be more like a sacrilege. I was wondering why Gods are never showed ugly and dead beaten by poverty. Guess God were defined as those class of people who are affluent, good looking and with hottest girls in town as their companion. Similarly I never saw any Goddess as ugly and cry-baby instead they are the hottest girl in town and never land a dumb ahole like what you see beautiful girls landing with, Instead they too get a God and hottest dude in the town as their companion. Why? Also they are either born at some king's palace or are raised at house of richest person in the town if there parents are in Jail. Why? Why? They have magical power and weapons to fight people, can't they work like how Iron-Man or Batman works? Or are they want to justify their power by saying they are from Krypton like Superman or from Jupiter like Sabu ? List is endless with lot many super hero available in this world. Well I would like to mention one more superhero before I go back to BS - he is Kick-ass. Why can't God be like that. :P Why? Why? Why? 

Why Gods are like hot-chick magnet that wherever he will go hot chicks will flock around , this is so unfair for common people and also to effort given by Barney Stinson. Why God's have brainwashed people so that they can't see the unfair ground. Why whatever they do are fair and same stuff if done by common person attracts wrath of the society and is mostly a laughing stock.

After watching Mahabharata I was totally confused why did Krishna came to real world, was the terror instigated by Kansa was beyond the level what terrorists are doing in current era? Looking at the suffering of current era people, I can definitely say that this is the time when God is suppose to come in this world. If not now then when?Or are God's afraid that they will not be able to handle the situation? Or they do not want to hold the sinking ship? If not then what was the use of taking birth as Krishna in Mahabharata time and Rama in Ramayana period. 

One important point - how Media will react if God will come into existence in this era? Will they be attacking God's privacy like they are doing for all celebrity or will they keep their mouth shut in fear of getting screwed by God's wrath? How many fan following will be there on Orkut, Facebook, Twitter? Will his twitter account will be verified like Sachin Tendulkar or will he prefer to have non-verified account like Salman Khan. How many people will be impersonating God and How many will be requesting  God with this message 'Please re-tweet this once God'. Hahaha.. Yeah these are genuine question - mind you. :P How many video hits will be there on YouTube and other video hoisting sites for any God's appearance? And most important what actually God will be doing? Will he be killing the terrorist and corrupt politician or will he hold back the fire and will take  bribe from them to live his life peacefully like other great heroes are doing?  Or would be updating his twitter status that what is this happening in this world? (definitely he wouldn't be able to prefix it with Oh God!) haha .Or will God be playing lottery and jackpot or will be betting on sports like  Emraan Hasmi in Jannat, as he would be knowing all the results beforehand. Cm'on, he is God.. forgot? More I delve into thoughts, more confused I get and more questions comes. So leaving this point here only for reader to ponder upon.

One more thing, lets take the case that God came into this world, then what happened to their progeny? Do they live among us? If yes, then what happened to the God's traits and magical skills? Why God didn't pass on the traits and skills to their children. Wouldn't it would have had been a beautiful world with God's progeny being a boss of this world. this was unfair from God's end. Or did God believed in keeping certain knowledge to himself to avoid things getting common later. Or did he foreseen the patenting rule applied on the genes and scientist doing behavioral analysis to develop similar mechanism into every human being making everyone as a God, causing more confusion. 

Note : My post shouldn't point that I am an atheist and well it definitely does not represent though that I am a theist either.  But yeah I can definitely put my status as confused over religion and God. And mind you - any comment specifically pointed to any religion in the comment section will be honored by me with a solo post on your God and your country  in mostly mutated sense, so no sh*t! Last but not the least, no hate comments are allowed.

Nothing Important

I was inactive on the blog portal, and probably will be inactive for some more time. Broke the chain as well, did not write even a single posts in March. Neither feel like posting nor get any topics to write. Couple of weeks back I activated a program to identify what is the post hit and was surprised to find the people around the world visit my page mainly because of two posts ‘Woman dominated Society’ and ‘Young Generation Vs Old Generation’. The post which were written long back.  I think such topics will never die. Though as per the trend whenever I say I will be away from the blog I somehow get something to update the page. Hoping not to get anything.

BTW was on Europe tour during march month a rare of rarest occasion of me traveling around. I think apart from Greece/London I have gone to all famous places in Europe. Few more less-known are in my list but hopefully will go during the weekend or long weekend. Luxuries of being almost in center of Europe. I was thinking to write a travelogue for all my travel destination but then later dropped the plan. But yes, its really a good thing traveling around and meeting new people.

Lot many items in things-to-do-list, MBA bug is hitting again (or did it ever stopped), feels pity for being in same company for almost 4 years now. And as a standard norm that’s a shame if you stay for more than 3 years in your first company. Totally my company fault, they never gave me opportunity for peak frustration. Before the threshold is reached they either changed my work location or out-of-turn-promotion or out-of-turn-hike. I like being here and people say I do not want to come out from comfort zone. Waiting for peak frustration, hope never get that as money was never constraint for me. But feels good rejecting offers from new company.

BTW perspective causing a lot of trouble, as the perspective says I did not do anything great in life nor doing and worst part is not even trying. Stagnancy sometime do wonder. Peace!!!

Why?

Why?

- Why only at the critical moment someone tells the head of the family/team/society or even God that "I never asked you anything in my life ever, this is the first thing what I am asking, please approve it, Please!!!" - I have a say here as usual - Damn!!! why the fuck you are coming with your emotional blackmailing sentence at the critical moment and that too after giving silent approval for all the things which happened earlier which were more like a base to the current situation I am putting into. Why did you never asked before or why you never retaliated earlier? Screw you!!!

- Why the first feeling after getting screwed is repentance rather than plan to get out of the mess?

- Why it happens that no matter how much we earn, we complain at some point that we are getting less?

- Why people get bored with anything everything?

- Why the bad time appears longer than the good and happy times?

- Why the time taken to reach office from home always look lower compared to time taken to reach Home from Office.

- And why the world seems upside down when its critical to get/reach something/someone

Life is going good with temperature showing signs in positive, had never thought that I would be happily roaming outside in Tee, when the temperature would be 2'C and would be saying what a wonderful weather it is. Was bored and frustrated with the continued snow-fall and negative temperature since past month and half. Happy days are back with mercury rising. Yippie!!!

Another Weekend

Another weekend with movies and virtual world. I wouldn't say it was a wonderful weekend but left me with some ideas. It seems to me the Indian movie industry has come to an stage were it can proudly say that they are coming with better story, better acting and better box office performance. Though the industry still remains slave of big names and big banner but atleast they have some good story though bad star cast sometime. In past 2 weeks have seen almost 8-10 movies and almost 4 movies had good story and acting though couple of them may not do the good business on box office. But still 4 out of 8 is a good number.

Movie industry has moved from the regular script of rich vs poor , horse riding Dacaoit's (Looter) theme movies to movies which actually have some content. I am not saying those movies were complete waste, instead I would say they were melodramatic and were perfect for that time period. Current movies in those time could have had created a lot of noise with no real outcome. Its like a marketing concept, never launch the product before the market demands nor launch it after the market is overloaded. Do it just on the time and you would be the king maker. Anyways, coming to the topic - We do not see the agony of a person who is not able to go to get the president award for his hard work because of lack of money and other responsibility. Instead, we see the richest of the lot, UK, US based rich people who drive expensive cars, and party hard in some posh restaurants. They never get problem in getting Visa, never have to bribe officials and never get monetary problems(if have, then usually it lies in billions of dollars , lakhs and crores are no more problem for them). Well planned loots happened with billions of dollars at stake which would make earlier loot based movie look more like a child play. Its fun seeing these moments, only reason I was grown in that era of movie which will look more like a shit or melodramatic sequence from today's perspective. Anyways, coming to Movies which I watched during the weekend.

Accident On Hill Road - I guess this movie was released long back but due to some reason I was avoiding it. This movie made me think how a bad star cast can spoil the mood for watchign movie and at the same time how a good story can hold you till the end in spite of having irritating character. This was a heroine centric movie with couple of out of context scenes but over all a good story and which will hold you till the end. This was another movie ( Mein, Meri Patni Aur Wo) which I saw till end in spite of unbearable flow but both for different reasons star cast was perfect for other but not for this. Or may be Celina Jaitly did played the role perfectly well which left me completely irritated with her acting. How far people can go for the sake of their own life and career is something which is unacceptable. And becoming inhuman and emotion less is something a complete NO NO. Bitch would be a compliment for the heroine after watching the story and shouldn't be taken in derogatory sense.

Chance Pe Dance - Another good movie, but was more like a cocktail of 'School of Rock', 'Persuit of Happyness'. Story goes on regular story line of current era - hero wins all and hero is the best type movie. No matter whatever hurdle comes he always wins, exception is something defined for hero. Slow heroine suddenly become 'Schumacher' to get the out of turn opportunity for Hero. Whatever, Shahid do know how to dance, and terrific dancing steps by him. There is nothing as such in the movie which you have never seen if you are a regular movie goer. But still acting and the flow will hold you till the end. Guess this would be doing good business on box office taking into account star slavery and total masala content.

Raat Gayi Baat Gayi - How can Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey and Neha Dhupia become so natural in acting? I am sure this movie will not be doing good business nor it will win any awards but still, its a good movie and should be watched by everyone who cares for natural acting and good story line.There is something about the trio (Rajat, Vinay and Neha) when they come together become natural and make the viewer feel like a real moment. Characters did the justice to the role and lived it well. This is story about a party and moves very fast maintaining the suspense. One more thing which I noted that Vinay's movies are usually low cost movie involving little of 'Movie Set' cost. Songs too are good. This is voted as best movie for this week by me.

Did see some old English movie in free time after watching these and yes, I do not do anything apart from watching movie.

I wanted to book tickets for my 2 week holiday planned in February but couldn't do that because of the unavailability of credit card with me and eventually that made me to apply for it today. Hope I will be able to make it before the cost of ticket become insanely high. I miss India now where the Bank agent were regularly giving irritating calls for new credit card and their scheme and where I had the credit card with me even before I had my regular debit card. I hate the companies who insist to have a credit card to book the tickets. :(

I think I am lost and is running away from the reality. Too Bad for a short life.

I think human kind goes through this self-realization very often but they shun it and move forward without any solution. Thing which made us happy once has become liability now and feels like a load. May be the greed is driving everyone insane and unhappy about the situation they are. I think we never understood our priority and will never. When we were child we wanted to become become adult to take all decision on our own and were never happy about the schools, homework and punishments. And now when the child has grown s/he wish to be a kid again to have the luxury of Schools, homework, punishment and to have someone who will guide at every moment. Much like a paradigm shift - There was a time when we longed for future and now when the future has been reached we long for the past.

Resolutions

I was thinking, when is the right time for making resolutions, though I didn't get the right time for making resolutions but I definitely got the wrong time for resolutions. New year Eve, Your Birthday and any special day in your life shouldn't be day when you should be making resolution. And to top it, your worst day, depressing day also are not the right time to make the resolution. You will get to know why (in totally unusual and incongruous way).

If I check the resolution list on internet, I find myriads of resolutions for the people who are living a public life through blogs, twitter, social networking site etc (Not to mention, I have lot of free time after office to do these things) And most common of the resolutions are one or more among the list mentioned below:-

To give up the habit of drinking / smoking / overeating / procrastination / laziness / latest one is virtual world involvement(too much time spent on internet or computer).

Last item joined the list of of negative habit since 3-4 years only, else it was a positive quality earlier and was in Geek's lexicon only to show supremacy over others. Seems life is getting tougher with each passing year. Good quality are becoming bad and bad are becoming worst. World was much better earlier with less knowledge and less addicting things invented around us.

Anyways, coming to topic - Giving up such habit would be the most depressing thing one would be doing on eventful days (on either of good or ugly day). Depressing because you were habituated to one or more things and you actually enjoyed doing that. And who in the world said that stop doing things which you enjoy doing most (Obviously those things only, which will not make life bad or difficult for others and impacting no one but you.)

No wonder we have more number of people who are not able to keep the resolutions compared to miserable number of those who actually keep it for long time. Because once the threshold is reached you are back to your age old habits. :-)

But I suppose people make resolution on eventful day just to remember since when did they gave up on enjoyment and to feel proud for keeping the resolution for X number of days before giving up on resolution. ;-)

A DaY In LiFe Of SwE

One Day at work, the SWE spoke :-

I hate my job, being answerable for others slow pace is pretty lame and pathetic when you can't get rude with your colleagues. It Sucks being in this situation. I need a change in profession itself.

It was the same SWE who said long long ago :-

I see myself working in same profession after 5 year but at some responsible position.

How fast the priority changed and how fast the mind. Do not wonder if the same SWE will say tomorrow :-

How lame I was to think this profession sucks, this is the most wonderful profession with easy money and growth rate. I love this job.

Phases through which each and every SWE passes, either in a single day itself or during a week. Healthy work environment and enjoying the work has long become a thing of past (or did it ever existed?).

Note: SWE are those class of people who suffers from multiple personality disorder and are called in respectable way as SoftWare Engineer, same way like we call bribe as gift. :-)

Woman and Religion

One question popped up in my mind for which I couldn't get answer or shall I say that, I ran away from reality.

Why most of the religion doesn't have a Woman as a God (Goddess) ? In my knowledge, only Hindu religion have Goddess who are prayed at mass level. Does it mean something?

A question that need to be given serious thought but need not be answered taking into account the sentiments associated with the religion.

Movie Marathon

It was snowing whole day making it impossible to go out, nor would have had gone anyway. And hence whole day was dedicated to movies. And my note on them as below. This is just for my personal reference, so you can ignore this post .

Pyar Impossible - or Dekhna Impossible!!! How could you do this? Please for Hell's sake do something. Movie start with BS note, gets little better in middle and ends with BS. UC n PC combo was deadly and to top it Mandakini's child version, you gotta be kidding. Coincidence happens only in movies . India is developing fast, real fast. And Danu Danasur??? Was he there only to deliver loser's dialog. That all. But hey wait, did what I told made any sense? No? Really? Well then welcome to PI, it will be the same.

Dulha Mil Gaya - FK, I mean Fardeen Khan, you gave a real FK performance in the movie as usual. This movie is about a dog, hey I am talking about Bozo(key character). I guess I found this movie good because I watched this after Mission Impossible (PI).


Bolo Ramm - Not sure either my taste was getting worse or the movies were getting better but by the time I completed 'Bolo Ramm', I actually felt better that I saw something good today. Movie had a good story and the star cast though new, were perfect for this story. No big names, nothing, but this movie should be watched if option is given between PI and BR.

Marega Salaa - I am happy that I did not see this movie earlier though it was released a week back(or two). And also realized that Jimmy Shergil is most underrated actor though he has a huge potential. His movies are good and mostly have off-beat theme. If he will continue to take the movies like this, one day he will join the class of Nasruddin Shah, Anupam Kher and Om Puri (not talking about comedy kinda role) because his role always carries some weight. and have a good narrating voice. Its a suspense thriller so will not give any spoiler. But yes, all the members are equally important. You may like Kim's confidence and attitude, though it would look copied from some Hollywood actress.

P.S. - I have a record better than this. So no need to get shocked over the number. And not to mention this is my views, you may like the movie which I disliked and dislike what I liked. You may think one more thing, that don't I leave any movie? Well in my capacity I try my best to watch as many as movie I can because "director itni mehnat karke movie banata hai, kaise usko niras kiya jaaye"

Movie and Property price

hehe, I wanted to come with something good but couldn't resist myself coming with this short post. Also, I usually do not like blog post with picture, but exception are there. and exception is as below.


I got this picture from my apartment maintenance team saying property prices might soar after its LAUNCH in movie 3 idiots. It took me some time(or can I say lot of time?) to identify what they were showing in the picture. hehe.. LAUNCH??? That's a good one. I do not know what will be the property price for IIM Bangalore now. :P

BTW one thing is sure they have downloaded the movie illegally and were seeing it on their computer and some over over-enthusiastic member posted it to the group. Wish someone from anti-piracy team go for a system check and screw them so that they never try to send any stupid posts like this. ;-)

Opportunity for film producer/directors now, you can churn out money even before the movie or songs are release. Just make a deal with such apartment owner to show their building. Who says ideas are over and no more opportunities are left for making money. =))

Happy New Year!!!

Though its kinda late to come up with such kind of posts when the new year eve is past 3 days. And writing this post at 3 am in the night don't make sense as well except if I would have written it on 1st of Jan. But again, I have a point, when to celebrate as new year moment lose its sense once you are out of the country and are in different time zone. Same was the case with me as well. I was not sure if the click of 12 am 1st Jan in India was THE moment or THE time when actually it happened in my time zone. So I decided its never late wishing my blog readers a happy and prosperous new year. Though I have made lots of resolutions this year and to tell you, this time it is different from last year. Sadly or shall I say happily, I couldn't get last year resolutions (Click on link to see what resolution I made last year) completed though I made them comfortable enough. :D Which made me get one idea about myself. I am perfect and its difficult to improve on perfection(Courtesy : DCH). Hence this year resolutions are tough enough so that I wouldn't think at the year end that, damn I couldn't complete these things as well?

I am more or less addicted to internet now and spend almost xyz hours on computer now. Will not come with the figures as it gives me panic attack writing those figures. And latest addiction is due to twitter. Why Twitter? What so special on it? I will come on this point in days to come. BTW why did I mention Twitter here? Because I was going to take one quotes from there for New Year eve, funny and lovely. And the quote is :-

"Universe is 14 billion years old. Seems silly to celebrate one year. Be like having a fucking parade every time I take a piss."

haha.. whatever!!! Still I would like to wish my readers once again, a very happy and fun filled new year. And yeah keep visiting my blogs this year as I have decided to come on it very often.(I hope so because its not there in my resolution list). Cheers!!!
