Dreams Unlimited!!!

"First I was dying to finish my high school and start college and then I was dying to finish college and start working. then I was dying to marry and have children. And then I was dying for my children to grow old enough so i could go back to work. But then I was dying to retire. And now I am dying and suddenly I realized I forgot to live.

Please don't let this happen to you. Appreciate your current situation and enjoy each day."

I read these lines in a forwarded mail.True to the core. We keep doing things to satisfy ourselves but don't realize that, what we are and where we are may be a dream position for some other person. Wont say that running after dreams is not good or people should content themselves with where/whatever they are in present. One should keep fighting at each and every point , but yeah shouldn't loose his/her heart because "Kehte hain, agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho to puri kaynat use tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jati hai.Or hindi filmon ki tarah hamari zindagi mein bhi end tak sab kuch theek hi ho jaata hai. Happys Endingz! Aur agar theek na ho to woh ‘The End’ nahin! Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost. Picture abhi baaki hai haan" . [Translation : It is said that if you want something from the bottom of your heart and soul then the entire universe tries to unite both of you. Like in our films, even in our lives every problem gets sorted out by the end. Happys Endingz! And if all is not fine, then it’s not ‘The End! The film is not over my friend. There is more to come]

It alleviated my sunken heart to some extent after the disaster or say series of disasters(Its not a disaster as such but from my perspective it is, indeed).

P.S.:- Gar Khuda ki zid Hai, yahin bijlian giraane ki,to meri bhi zid hai, yahin ashian banane ki. :)

BILLI - An untoward Ending!!!

I thought of coming back on this portal on positive note but alas!!! It was not in the fate. But still there is some positivity in it. You can say positivity in disguise of negativity. Too confusing way of word usage. Isn't it??? Anyway, well this is about my coveted dream/desire to do something big for the first time ever in life with my maximum effort till last moment. But destiny speculated by me wasn't in my side and I ended pathetically on wrong side.

Few might be wondering what I am talking about? This is all about an unpleasant ending of a race I call use to call as 'billi'. Did a blunder on the D-day and was en route failure. It would have given me a little satisfaction if I could have made it to at least first level. But I guess its just console myself over the shattered dream. Presumption & impatience in answering without reading complete detail and also taking something as too important and perfect too hurts a lot.

Anyways, Hope now I will try to be regular on this blog portal now onward. I missed to mention the positive thing out of this failure. And that is : - Now I don't have to worry whether my GD/PI dates will clash with other institutes. [;)] And hence I am saved from the hobson's choice :)

Chuck De Hey Baby!!!

Forewarning:- By any chance if you haven't watched these movies then stop here itself. There might be some spoiler.
I may differ or in fact will surely differ from others opinion about chuk de and hey baby. ;)
So here is my version of review for chuk de.. Sole aim of the movie was to bring back the scooter back to his house. Alas!!! days of scooters are now over else we could have seen some good ad there, or may be not, because his scooter seemed to have either maintenance problem or may be mileage problem. How? Dint you see, Kabir bhai was rolling the scooter instead of driving it most of the time. And to showcase how a small mistake can make you pay a humongous cost(Thanks to Media). Jokes apart this movie was so so(watchable). But if you are seriously looking for something real good then this movie is avoidable(but taking into account movie standard these days you can watch it if you are a movie buff ). Few points I noted after watching the movie(or guess directors know the secret):
  • Movies with some religious issues(add India-Pakistan match too) and movie will break box office records.[Question: Can't you feel that there is a need of change over this caste and religion related thing]
  • Movies with sport theme generally gets better opening if a weak team emerges as a winner(and obviously that team is Indian Team.. No offense meant). Indirectly we are accepting that we are weak and some miracle will make us win. [Question: If weak emerging as strong finally is so much sought after, then why do we try to keep weak away from the main line.]
  • Movies were everything depends on last 3 minute performance or which make ur adrenaline flow faster generally emerges as a winner on box office(be it a lagaan or chuk de). [Question: Why Mr Kabir didn't gave direction for 1st two shots on goal which resulted in close call with Australian team ;)]
  • And yeah evergreen formula - show the hero as Bechara(chucked out from main stream) and help him regain his old stature through the movie. And you will get a super hit.[Question: Why movies are so distant from cruel reality?]

These formulae comes one or other way in most of the hit movie(w.r.t. sport based).Whatever may be the case at last our kabir bhai(the great coach) was able to bring back the scooter to his old house. [:D]

Anyway, hope India winning the Asia Cup, teams superb performance throughout the series and soft corner for Hockey developed after the movie will make hockey to reach those heights or say surpass those heights which where a cake walk during 1940's(Dhanchand and Team).

Hey Baby or Baba!!! Why on earth do you make such wonderful movie. Put us in situation of saap and chuchunder(snake and mouse ka bhai.. don't remember the actual phrase). I mean they make life of movie watcher difficult.I found it difficult whether to laugh or weep or commit suicide at such wonderful emotional scene(yeah even though I watched the movie. So I am entitled for an award). I don't have words to explain the beauty of this movie. But just have two words to say. "AVOID IT". Be the emotional touch given by star's or director everything was just intolerable. Director/hero/heroine everyone seemed confused about there stand in movie. Things move at fast pace but are never able to hold the attention. Overall a big failure for each and everyone. This is perfectly my opinion and its a consequence of literally wasting my precious 2.5 hours. And I don't expect other to go by it as opinion differs with people.

Few lessons!!!

  • Grass always looks greener the other side.
  • People need to realize that a career is a marathon run and not a sprint, one won't go far by jumping jobs.
Unfortunately we as people are never satisfied with what we have. [:]

Ad season!!!

Here is another advertisement which touched the soul. What you are thinking is absolutely right.. I just watch ads, as nothing else worth watching comes on T.V.(considering the fact I am in Chennai [:'(] )

Ecstasy of the octogenarian or nonagenarian(probably) made me get goosebumps

P.S.:- This too was in my draft since long. Not sure whether this ad comes on T.V. these days or not.

P.P.S.:- I am not trying to make my blog portal a advertisement window nor I am making any money by doing this.So comments shouldn't be guided by this idea. Thank you. :)

P.P.P.S.:- I guess I am the first one to write so many post script. But I was forced to write this part so as to make the life easier for those soul who can't access youtube(as the link will direct it there). Its a ad for a newspaper company but here in my blog context it has little to do with the ad of newspaper. This video mimic an incident that how a old person felt and how he celebrated when he found himself in a over joyous situation. well seeing the video will make you realize the intricacies of emotion.(So if possible see it if you get chance) Video starts with a child running with happy face having a newspaper in his hand. He shows the news which has been published in the paper to everyone in the village and a festive ambiance take the charge.. finally the boy enters into a house and show the paper to his land lord.. on seeing the news all family member starts dancing with other people who came to their house celebrating the news. And the news was:- Prakash Mirjakar,PM (there son, probably) is selected for Indian Hockey team for Olympics games and team is leaving tomorrow. A lady (Probably PM's mother) takes the news paper and show it to a old person sitting on chair idly. And he seemed to have no energy left with him. But on seeing the newspaper he go straightaway to his trunk where he kept another piece of news which might had come a long time back. And news in that old piece was about dropping of Mirjakar(Probably this old guy) from the hockey team. And then he check the recent news and feel ecstatic about the news(Best part of the whole video) and starts dancing due to immense pleasure which he got, which was a dream/a wish he longed/desired since long. And there was a fresh deal of energy which was showing its face out of that old person. It was awesome. Thats it.. Enjoy.. :)

This is another article which i wrote during my state of dormancy. Here I was suppose to convince the Eskimo to buy my product(ice) in limited words(100 words). Unfortunately the topic of competition was changed a week before the submission date( due to low entry submission). And later I didn't get much time to write anything on the new topic. I took the idea from regular tv shopping ads. And I guess the entry below will look/feel good when one will read taking into consideration the real context(same shrill noise).

Rejuvenation(Crucifixion) of Indian Cricket(er)!!!

The cricketing industry is going through a major change in rule following the ugly and early departure from the world cup. When we look at cricket perspective then the decision seems perfect. But looking at players(only few who got mazor endorsement) perspective it seems they are in deep shit. But eventually when we analyse the rules the scenario is soemthign different. This was the thing which was suppose to come long back. Anyway its still not that late.

The new rules willl make them win matches and perfom better so as to earn money(which they were earning from endorsement) and also to stay in the team. Previously the scenario was totally different. They were getting money by showing there great piece of batting, bowling and fielding ON TV(which was a rare occasion during the match).

Now the new endorsement rule will restrict the player to 3 endorsement max. And also they won't be allowed to go for ads 15 days before the match or during a cricket series. So atleast now, lets hope they will utilize the time to play cricket for which they were getting money(oops.. I forgot that they were getting heavy sum for playing REAL cricket). This decision was followed by harsh comment from cricketers and ad gurus. Few of the comments are as follows(not exactly word by word):

*BCCI is a 4000cr ruppes industry and now they only are denying to give the shares to the player those who are bringing that money.

First thought which came in my mind was, why the BCCI is paying them for? For playing cricket on pitch or for playing cricket on ads. huh.. and now the new rule will make them earn more money(but only if they will be winning) And I guess its a fair rule. No industry pay for junk delivery or bad delivery.

*Another comment(Well i forgot the exact comment but it was something like this only):- you can't restrict or say to a player that he can't have sex more then 3 times a week or something.

hehehe.. what a great comment to make. AS far as i thought I didn't find any correlation between the comment and the endorsement rule.

There were other comments too.. Anyway.. The point is, these people forgot that few cricketers were giving nearly 65 to 70 days in a year for there media schedule. The time which they could have utilized for practice so as to make there performance better. But huh.. in the blind race of signing contracts they forget the real thing.

As per the new rule now the player will be able to earn better. The new rule says:- ODI fee - 1 lakh and TEST fee - 2 lakh(Just for playing) and if they will win the match then they will be earn upto 3.5 times of the match fee. And over this if they win the series they will get more money. But alas there is no rule, what will be done if they will lose the match. No deduction in match fee for loosing. It means for them this is a win-win situation in any case.
कहने का मतलब है कि पांचो उँगलियाँ घी में ओर सर कराही में.

So lets hope for the better cricket from our so called stars whose lights became dim these days. And so forth Indian cricket will touch new heights in the coming years. :)

Creativity!!!

I wasn't totally inactive during my period of hibernation. I wrote an article for my company magazine that was published in January edition. Hmm... not article actually... it was sort of story (short story), which anyone was suppose to make on the basis of first line... "The scream was deafening..." One was free to take the story in any direction and I choose thriller/suspense. There was nothing much I could do as there was word limit too. Anyway story was selected and published... My first story/article to get published in a book/magazine. In fact I think second one... before this I wrote one article for 'The Hindu' ... :-) So creativity continues...

Story as follows...

Encounter with Death
“The scream was deafening like a sonic boom and the sound started echoing in between the mountains. Maya was falling freely from the cliff. Death seemed just a few feet’s below her head. Her heart was pounding hard as if it will come out. And she can see her husband, Arjun, laughing like a devil on the cliff. She closed her eyes as if she will be saved by closing her eyes. Her mental position was like an ostrich in a desert that skulk his head in sand to have an illusion that hunter can't see him. Maya was repenting accompanying Arjun here on such a height. She couldn't believe that he; her husband can push her from the cliff. And suddenly her thinking got a break. It was all over. Yippee she was moving up in the same way as arjun told her. This was so exciting moment. And this was her first experience of bungee jumping, her hubby's favorite sport.”
